Independent Examination of Pimlico Neighbourhood Plan
Following the consultation on the revised Pimlico Neighbourhood Plan 2021, Westminster City Council appointed an independent examiner on 15 October 2021. The examination into whether the draft plan meets the ‘Basic Conditions’ has therefore started.
The examiner is now considering the draft Plan, all submission documents and all representations received and will determine whether the plan meets the required statutory tests (’Basic Conditions’).
The examiner’s report can recommend one of three main recommendations:
- the plan proceeds to referendum of all people on the Electoral Register in the Neighbourhood area
- the plan proceeds to referendum with modifications
- the plan should not proceed to referendum.
Before a Neighbourhood Plan can proceed to referendum, the Council is required to set out its response to each of the examiner’s recommendations and publish a ‘decision statement’.
The Pimlico Neighbourhood Forum is hoping that the referendum on our Plan will take place early in 2022.
